SkipAdvert is an Android accessibility automation tool. This policy explains what data SkipAdvert accesses and how it is handled.

What the App Does

SkipAdvert uses Android's AccessibilityService API to detect the "Skip ad" button inside the YouTube app and tap it automatically. This lets you listen to podcasts, music, and other content hands-free without being interrupted by skippable ads.

Accessibility Service Scope

The accessibility service is scoped exclusively to the YouTube app (com.google.android.youtube). It reads the on-screen UI element tree within YouTube to locate the skip button by resource ID or button text. SkipAdvert physically cannot observe the UI of any other app on your device.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• SkipAdvert does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.
• SkipAdvert does not access the UI of any app other than YouTube.
• SkipAdvert does not make any network requests. It does not request the INTERNET permission.
• SkipAdvert does not use analytics, crash reporting, advertising SDKs, or any third-party services.
• SkipAdvert does not read, write, or store any files, databases, or preferences on your device.

Third-Party Services

SkipAdvert uses no third-party services or SDKs. Its only dependencies are the standard Android Jetpack and Compose libraries provided by Google.

Children's Privacy

SkipAdvert is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated revision date.
